Law Week is an annual event held in May across Australia to promote public understanding of the law and its role in society. Each year in Canberra the Law Society and its partners run a range of events to celebrate and engage the local legal profession, and to educate the public about the role of lawyers in our society.
Law Week 2026 will be held from 22 - 29 May 2026.
Law Week, along with the ACT Law Society Foundation, donates to a local Canberra charity each year. In 2026, we are supporting the Domestic Violence Crisis Service (DVCS).
DVCS is a non-government, not-for-profit organisation committed to providing specialist domestic and family violence support services to anyone in the ACT region. As a specialist domestic and family violence service, we draw on evidence and research to best inform our services delivery. We are here to support people, both during and after crisis situations. We work to prevent and respond to violence and abuse, building safer futures for adults, children and young people impacted by domestic and family violence.
If you are unable to attend any of our fundraising events and would still like to donate to DVCS you can so via their website here.
