Welcome to our new Council member and upcoming Governance Review Forum

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Ming Li to the Council, following a recent expression of interest to fill a casual vacancy. Mr Li brings valuable experience and insight, and we look forward to his contribution to the Council’s work.

We’re also delighted to share that Mohamed el Roubi has been appointed to the role as Treasurer to fill a recent vacancy. In this role, Mr el Roubi will also join the Executive Committee and the Governance Review Working Group. More information on the members of the Council can be found here.

As members are aware, the Society commenced a governance review in 2024 to ensure our governance framework is modern, efficient, transparent, and fit for purpose. Our aim is to implement the most effective structure to support both our members and the profession.

To continue this important work, we’re pleased to invite all members to an upcoming Governance Review Open Forum—an opportunity to learn more about the review, ask questions, and meet the members of the Governance Review Working Group.

Members can register to attend the forum here. We encourage you to let us know in advance if you have specific questions, so we can ensure we are well prepared to address them during the session. Questions can be sent to eo@actlawsociety.asn.au

Please note that you will need to log in to the website in order to register your attendance. Please contact memberconnect@actlawsociety.asn.au if you are experiencing any issues with logging in.

We hope you can join us and be part of this important conversation.

Warm regards,

Vik Sundar
