ACT Law Society welcomes new appointments
The ACT Law Society congratulates Ms Heidi Robinson on her appointment as the 10th Magistrate of the ACT Magistrates Court and Mr Marcus Hassall as a Presidential Member of the ACT Civil & Administrative Tribunal (ACAT).
ACT Attorney-General Tara Cheyne MLA announced the appointment earlier today. The appointment will commence in the new year.
Ms Robinson most recently served as a Presidential Member of ACAT. She brings significant experience in a broad range of areas relevant to the Magistrates Court including employment and industrial law, civil claims, commercial disputes, child welfare law, mental health, building disputes, nuisance and negligence.
Mr Hassall is currently a Special Magistrate in the ACT Magistrate’s Court and a barrister at Blackburn Chambers. He is a former ACT Legal Aid Commissioner, president of the ACT Bar Association and federal prosecutor.
