Rory is the founder of Aldermane Legal and has over 10 years’ experience in the legal industry, working for both public sector and private clients. Rory aims to service his clients flexibly, and without the constraints of working in a traditional law firm. He is passionate about building a team of trusted and friendly advisors who are truly collaborative and outcomes-focused.
As a business founder and owner, Rory has particular experience in managing teams, business fundamentals, and client relationship and practice management to ensure organic growth. Prior to starting Aldermane, he worked in small, medium, and top-tier firms, so has the diversity of experience to offer advice and support to practitioners operating within firms of all sizes – including the complexities, challenges, and benefits of each.
RICHARD DONALDSON

Richard was admitted in October 2019 and has been on the New Lawyers committee of the ACT Law Society since 2023. Richard is a public law and commercial lawyer at the Canberra office of Norton Rose Fulbright, specialising in civil litigation, administrative law and Royal Commissions. Prior to joining Norton Rose Fulbright, Richard progressed through the graduate program at another national firm ultimately settling in the litgation practice group. Richard is motivated to support new lawyers to understand the diverse range of opportunities available in the legal profession.
