Nominations extended for Pro Bono and Government Awards
Seeking outstanding lawyers in Pro Bono or Government Law: Help us celebrate them at the 2022 ACT Law Awards!
We know among our members are the unsung heroes supporting legal work in the community, and the government law practitioners deserving recognition.
We haven't received sufficient nominations for the ACT Pro Bono Service Award or the Government Law Award this year, so we’ve extended the closing date for nominations to 5pm, Monday 8 August.
If you know someone who is deserving, or perhaps you were hesitant to put yourself forward, now is the time!
The Pro Bono Service Award
We know lawyers in the ACT don't get enough acknowledgement for the many hours of community legal work they do.
Is there a lawyer in your firm who deserves recognition for the pro bono work they do?
Do you know a lawyer whose advocacy for Canberra's disadvantaged should be celebrated?
Have you been using your legal knowledge to change lives?
The Government Law Award
Is there a lawyer in your department who deserves recognition for their leadership and innovation?
Are you a government law practitioner responsible for big legal projects or litigation?
We want to hear about the government practitioners improving departmental performance, raising awareness of legal issues, and contributing to the local community!
