Nominations for Council closing soon!
We’re looking for upstanding members of the profession who want to make a difference in the local legal community and contribute to the good governance of the Law Society and regulation of the profession.
If you are a financial member of the ACT Law Society and you think that sounds like you, nominate for election to Council today. We encourage members from all areas of practice to apply.
Eligible members can nominate for more than one position. Associate members are not eligible to nominate.
In order to complete your nomination, you will need:
- Your member number
- The names of two financial members to support your nomination, a proposer and seconder. (Note they will have to go online to approve their details and confirm their support).
- Year admitted and practicing years
- Current practice area or specialisations
- A short (150 words) biography written in the third person
- Previous governance roles held
- A short (150 words) on your governance experience in the third person
- A short (150 words) on your regulatory experience in the third person
- A passport-style photograph (colour preferred)
